![]() At the end of 2020 I had the pleasure of beginning to meet and chat with several mompreneurs in preparation for a segment called Mompreneur Mondays, coming to the blog, Youtube and Instagram. Every Monday you will meet one of these amazing mamas and be encouraged by their journey in business and in motherhood. Today is the first day of that segment and I’m happy to introduce you to one of the Boss Moms I had the opportunity to chat with,The owner of Dynamic Legacy Apparel, Nisha. We had an amazing conversation and she dropped some gems for the mothers out there looking to start their own business. You can watch our conversation on my Youtube Channel. The bubbly mom of one is a humble yet confident serial entrepreneur. In addition to her clothing apparel Nisha is also a travel agent and in the process of expanding the Dynamic Legacy name. All the while, working full time in corporate America. ![]() Nisha started her business prior to becoming a mother herself. However 2 years into business she gave birth to a beautiful daughter and entrepreneurship changed a bit. Having a new life to care for meant getting creative with use of time and finding ways to get her daughter involved. You can find Madilyn in some of Nisha’s Youtube Videos as well as her cameo in our interview. Her children’s boutique started out with a passion to sew and a mission to make quality clothing for children affordable. Upon shopping for clothing for her boyfriend’s son Nisha realized that good quality boys clothing was more expensive than the same quality for girls. It has since grown beyond baby blankets and boy clothes into a full functioning boutique offering boy and girls clothes as well as mommy and me sets. I’m sure you’ve shopped at a ton of online boutiques just to find the quality to be, well pretty bad. I know I have and after speaking to Nisha I learned she had too. Therefore she knew her boutique needed to be different, to be better. And she set out to maintain the quality, Nisha checks all of the fabrics before using them or placing clothes in her boutique. Her goal is not to provide cheap clothes, but affordable clothing that is of good quality. Customers of Dynamic Legacy Apparel can rest assured that all the items in the shop have been checked for quality and that the owner will not place anything in the shop that she wouldn’t put on her own child. Quality is only a part of what sets Dynamic Legacy apart from other clothing boutiques for children. Nisha, herself is actually the biggest part. She attributes her success to several things. One of them is her patience. While some brands expect to blow up over night Nisha has been taking her time and building steadily. This patience has kept her business open and allowed her to learn and grow in various ways. Part of patience is her ability to slow down and listen to feedback and then apply the necessary changes. Aside from business Nisha understands the importance of making time for herself. Like many moms the bathroom is her hiding place to take a moment. In addition to hiding out in the bathroom, I feel you on that one, Nisha also takes herself out from time to time. It’s easy to get caught up with business and mom life, therefore those moments that you get some quiet time are the perfect opportunity to relax and cash in on “me time”. Balance isn’t always easy but just like with business consistency is key. Nisha’s advice to moms out there who are thinking about starting their own business is to research and stay consistent with their business. She has learned that consistency is key, and that good research pays off. Not only in learning new skill sets and how to accomplish them but also when looking for the things that make your heart sing. She also wants moms to know that it’s important to do things that you’re passionate about, especially in business. Why? Because when you’re passionate about it you don’t feel like you’re working at all, allowing you to be fulfilled by your work and make it everlasting. Ready for more from Dynamic Legacy?
